NANCY PERITZ
Nancy Peritz has been in the field of education and training since 1989. She has worked with international HR personnel from a variety of fields to plan, develop and coordinate on-site English programs. Her client list includes such multi-national companies as Kirin Brewery, Bridgestone Tire, Hewlett-Packard, LG Electronics, Nokia Mobilephones, Kyocera Wireless, Solar Turbines, SPAWAR, Baxter Pharmaceuticals, Hitachi R & D, Fujitsu, and Banco Serfin, as well as The Burnham Institute for Medical Research, The Novartis Foundation for Genomic Research, Celgene, The University of Applied Science in Zurich, Switzerland and the Overseas Vocational Training Association (OVTA) in Chiba, Japan.

Although Nancy is a native San Diegan, she went to the Midwest to attend college where she received her B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She studied Spanish abroad in Seville, Spain for six months, and lived and worked in Tokyo, Japan for four years. In Tokyo, she was the Director of Education at International Management Institute, a company that provided on-site English and business training to some of Japan's largest corporations. Upon returning to the United States, Nancy worked as a teacher, coordinator and consultant for UCSD’s English Language Institute and the Global Leadership Institute at the School for International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS). In 2001 she started Communicate On-Site Language and Training with Sarah Golden.

Nancy speaks English and Spanish fluently and has a basic understanding of Japanese and Italian. She has traveled extensively in Europe, the United States, Canada, Mexico and Southeast Asia. Nancy is an avid cyclist—both road and mountain biking—yoga practitioner, soccer coach to her two daughters, and a pretty good home cook. Her love of travel, people, and world cultures is evident in her classes: she is knowledgeable, prepared and enthusiastic.
